As a benchmark in premium outdoor hospitality and entirely crafted in our workshops in France, Lumipod is, above all, a family story – one of vision and transmission.

A family story

The Lumipod story begins with Lumicene, a company founded in 2003 by engineer and designer Laurent Salvaire. Driven by the desire to reinvent the relationship between indoor and outdoor living, Laurent developed an innovative curved and reversible window system, patented and created in collaboration with Saint-Gobain.

In 2015, Clément joined the family adventure, followed by Charles in 2019. Together, they set out to create the ultimate experience centred around the LUMICENE® window. This is how Lumipod was born: the result of a shared vision of architectural innovation, minimalism, and the art of living seamlessly between inside and out.

A promising idea

Building on the rise of modular construction and luxury outdoor hospitality, Laurent, Clément and Charles imagined Lumipod: a single-cell habitat designed around the curved window, blending harmoniously into nature while offering its occupants a truly sensory experience.

The concept quickly sparked strong interest: the first images published drew thousands of enquiries within just a few weeks. The adventure had begun!

In December 2019, the first Lumipod was installed overlooking Gap (France). In 2022, to accelerate its growth, Lumipod partnered with the Enthéos family office, opening new horizons for the company.

The LUMICENE® window, developed in partnership with Saint-Gobain, represents a true technical innovation, protected by an exclusive patent. Its curved and reversible design transforms the perception of space, maximising natural light while optimising both thermal and acoustic insulation.

This unique intellectual property gives Lumipod its distinctive design, outstanding performance, and the ability to deliver an unparalleled sensory experience.
