THE BEGINNINGS

In 2019, Lumipod took its first steps.

It all began with a meeting sparked by Lumipod’s very first communications: a couple of private individuals, owners of a plot of land overlooking the heights of Gap, in the southern French Alps. A place, a shared intuition, and the desire to install a one-of-a-kind architectural object.

A SILENT HIGH-ALTITUDE RETREAT

In December 2019, the first Lumipod 5 was installed.

At nearly 1,000 meters above sea level, in the heart of an oak and pine forest, it engages in dialogue with the landscape rather than imposing itself upon it. Clad in black-stained Nordic pine, inspired by the Japanese shou-sugi-ban charred wood technique, it faces the view.

Set apart from the world, it offers a silent interlude — a secluded retreat, deeply connected to nature.
